About: Doug began his career as a P.E. teacher, head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Naperville (IL) High School and returned to the University of Illinois-Urbana for a Masters in Sports Medicine. He then became the head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He then transitioned to the outpatient P.T. environment and pursued his P.T. degree from the A.T. Still AZ School of Health Sciences. Doug is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Functional Manual Therapist by the Institute of Physical Art (1 of 2 in AZ), a Level V Advanced Primal Reflex Release Practitioner (the only one at that level in AZ), a Level I Certification with the United States Weightlifting Federation to teach Olympic Lifts, a Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association to supervise P.T. students and is certified by RockTape for functional taping. Doug has advanced training in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Grade V spinal manipulations, the TRX Suspension System, Jump Stretch/Flex Band training and other dynamic functional performance training methods.
