About Sue Falsone and Dry Needling

Dry needling, a blend of art and science, is done by a physical therapist who works with acupuncture needles to stimulate the muscles of the athlete. Sue Falsone, the creator and CEO of Structure and Function Dry Needling, developed a hands-on dry needling system named SFDN, which shares a name with her organization! The approach is defined by a blend of techniques Sue Falsone combined and enhanced over the course of many years in the field. Sue Falsoneís experience includes stints as Head Athletic Coach for the LA Dodgers, where she worked as the first woman to assume the role of Head Athletic Coach in all of the four most important sports in America. Also, she spent some time working as the Head Athletic Coach for the American Men’s National Soccer team.

[shaker_image]The price for the classes is $1295, although 1 individual can participate in the class at no cost if their sports club or club sings up ten other course participants. It is recommended that students bring a couple of specific items with them to the seminar: a TENS unit (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), alligator clamps, and a human anatomy book. The staff will provide the needles for all participants to use during the seminar. As well as being in the process of approving Continued Education Units (CEUs) for their upcoming courses, SFDN is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education services to accredited Athletic Trainers. In some professions, Continuing Education Units are mandatory for people to maintain their licenses and be able to go on working in their industry.

As of now, these are the places that offer the ability to partake in continuing education activities approved by ProCert for Physical Therapists to get 26 CEUs: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. NATA BOC (National Athletic Trainers’ Association) (P10069) allows the student to earn 25 CEUs, Arizona Physical Therapy Association two and a half CEUs, and Georgia Physical Therapy Association twenty-five CEUs.

Hosting a Course

All the newest information about cupping, dry needling, and intramuscular stimulation is taught in Structure & Function: Dry Needling’s events. The award winning and esteemed dry needling system introduced by Sue Falsone draws on her few decades of hard work in order to be a quality blend of pain management, dry needling, fascial manipulation, visceral manipulation, movement efficacy, soft tissue mobilization, and differential diagnosis.
