About Sue Falsone and Dry Needling
[shaker_image]Combining the art and science of dry needling, a licensed health care professional uses his skill with acupuncture needles to enter the dermis and stimulate the professional athlete’s muscles. Sue Falsone, the creator and CEO of SFDN, started a practical dry needling approach called SFDN, the namesake of her organization. Over the course of the decade in the field, Sue Falsone gathered a tremendous amount of expertise which she then used to develop her dry needling concept. Sue worked as Head Athletic Coach for the LA Dodgers, during which she was the first female Head Athletic Coach in all of the four most popular sports in the United States. Also, Sue spent some time working as the Head Athletic Coach for the American Men’s National Soccer team.
Objectives
The course wants to do the following:
- to be able to work with dry needles in a secure manner, and adhere to official health rules and guidelines;
- to get to know the anatomies of the subject to make sure they are safe as the clinician is practicing the technique of dry needling on them;
- to use intramuscular stimulation in curing everyday orthopedic conditions; and to master various cupping techniques.
- to show the practitioner the contraindications and safeguards when using said technique;
- to allow the clinicians to use dry needling techniques when curing various orthopedic and sports-related pathologies;
Upon completion of the course, the attendees will be able to use their newly found skills, and will be able to use them to treat their athletes.
Information Regarding Our Course
The classes are one thousand two hundred ninety five dollars, and when someone signs ten people up, they (their department or facility) get free access for one individual. Students should bring the following three items: a book about human anatomy (edition and author unspecified), a Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation unit, as well as alligator clamps. The staff provide the needles for everyone to have during the seminar. As well as currently approving CEUs for their upcoming courses, Structure & Function: Dry Needling is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer services of continuing education to certified Athletic Trainers. In a number of professions, CEUs are required for those employed to maintain their licenses and be able to go on working in their industry.
Presently, these places offer continuing education classes approved by ProCert for Physiotherapists to get 26 Continuing Education Units: Springfield, Massachusetts. Also, NATA BOC (National Athletic Trainers’ Association) (P10069) offers the way to get 25 Continuing Education Units, Arizona Physical Therapy Association two and a half CEUs, and Georgia Physical Therapy Association 25 Continuing Education Units.
Info Regarding How to Host an Event
Physiotherapists as well as many other medical professionals who are interested in hosting an event may participate upon filling out the form and submitting an application. SFDN’s dry needling events offer the newest approach to the science and art of dry needling, as well as intramuscular stimulation and cupping. Sue Falsone brought forth her knowledge and experience in order to blend pain management, dry needling, fascial manipulation, visceral manipulation, movement efficiency, soft tissue mobilization, and differential diagnosis to form the dry needling approach currently recognized and admired all over the nation.
When using the Structure & Function approach, aside from expanding the base of sports rehabilitation knowledge, health care professionals will be able to enhance the treatment of their athletes.
