She teaches courses all over the United States to empower sports professionals. SFDN offers dry needling courses, 25 hrs in length, in Odessa and other major towns throughout the United States! Over 3 days, the class provides training sessions on how to use basic dry needling approaches to handling a variety of acute & chronic ailments in athletes. Throughout the course program, Sue Falsone presents ways to use intramuscular electrical stimulation (short: IMS) and cupping.

About Sue Falsone and Dry Needling
In the world of dry needling, a licensed medical professional uses his skill with dry needles to prick the skin and stimulate the professional athlete’s muscles. At SFDN, founder and Chief Executive Officer Sue Falsone developed a hands-on dry needling system named SFDN! Throughout the decade in the field, Sue Falsone garnered an incredible amount of expertise which she then used to invent her dry needling system. Sue worked as Head Athletic Coach for the LA Dodgers organization, where she served as the first woman to assume the role of Head Athletic Coach in all of the four major sports in the United States. She also spent some time working as the Head Athletic Coach for the American Men’s National Soccer team.
Course Curriculum
The aim of the course is the following:
- to be able to use dry needling techniques in treating prevalent orthopedic and sports-related injuries;
- to be able to apply intramuscular stimulation in curing common orthopedic problems; as well as master different cupping techniques.
- to better understand the anatomies of the patient in order to ensure their well-being as the clinician is using the technique of dry needling;
- to use dry needles in a secure way, as well as adhere to official health guidelines and regulations;
- to point out to the practitioner the contraindications and safeguards when using the aforementioned technique;
After the course is over, the students will manage to use their new abilities to treat various pathologies and ailments in sports and ortho medicine.
Course Information
The seminars are priced at one thousand two hundred ninety five dollars, and when someone signs ten people up, they (their department or club) get free tuition for 1 individual. It is advisable that students bring a few specific items with them to class: a TENS unit, alligator clips, and an anatomy book. The staff will supply the needles for all participants to have in class. Structure & Function: Dry Needling is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) to offer continuing education to accredited Athletic Trainers and is currently approving CEUs. In a number of professions, Continuing Education Units are required for to keep on working in their field.
