Frank Kamasz, DC, CSCS

Frank Kamasz, DC, CSCS is an active practicing Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, and a Designated Doctor for the Division of Workers’ Compensation. He specializes in sports medicine, injury prevention, and wellness care. He completed his bachelor’s in Fitness and Human Performance at the University of Houston Clear Lake and earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Texas Chiropractic College. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist under the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Corrective Exercise Specialist under the National Academy of Sports Medicine. His post-graduate training includes certifications in Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, Functional Range Release (Spine, Upper Extremity, and Lower Extremity), Foundations in Dry Needling for Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Sports Performance Levels 1 and 2, and Fascial Manipulation Levels 1 and Level 2. He has worked in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting focusing on acute care, chronic pain, and pre and post-surgical care and managed Work Hardening, Work Conditioning, and Chronic Pain Management programs. He has an extensive background working as an independent expert witness as a Designated Doctor for the state of Texas to generate an opinion to help resolve disputes and be presented as evidence at a Benefit Review Conference or Contested Case Hearing. As of February 2023, there were 238 designated doctors in the program. He has worked as an adjunct professor for a number of years at the Texas Chiropractic College and more recently with the Chamberlain University College of Nursing and Public Health. He has also assisted teaching at a post-graduate level to multidisciplinary clinicians under Structure and Function for various courses involving Foundations in Dry Needling for Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Sports Performance and Fascial Manipulation Level 1. He is the current owner, doctor, and strength coach for Rebel Mobility and Fitness which specializes in consulting and treatment for musculoskeletal and sports injuries, strength and conditioning, movement based problems, and return to play protocols. He is a proud member of the Texas Sports Chiropractors which is a nonprofit organization in Texas that strives to promote chiropractic in sport and has worked with the elite runners of the Houston Marathon and multiple IronMan events. He is a member of the Fascia Research Society to facilitate, encourage and support the dialogue and collaboration between clinicians, researchers and academicians, in order to further our understanding of the properties and functions of fasciae. As a member of the Fascia Manipulation Association he promotes the therapeutic potential of Fascial Manipulation and its members work on research and application to the treatment of myofascial pain and musculoskeletal dysfunctions related to the physiology of the fascia. The National Strength and Conditioning Association is the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, the NSCA disseminates research-based knowledge and its practical application to elevate athletic performance and fitness for all people. The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist under the NSCA is highly regarded and CSCS professionals apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention. Recognizing that their area of expertise is separate and distinct, CSCSs consult with and refer athletes to other professionals when appropriate. As of December 31, 2023, 47,439 professionals held the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential.
