Rodriguez has extensive experience in the field, both as part of the gameday staff with football for the Miami Dolphins, and for the last six years, as a certified athletic trainer and the injury prevention and rehab coordinator at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.

While there, he worked with men’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, softball, and men’s and women’s swimming. He was also responsible for upgrading and increasing therapeutic modalities, rehabilitation equipment, and he introduced certifications to the NSU athletic training department.

Prior to NSU, Rodriguez had internships with both the Dolphins and Washington Redskins, and has worked game days with the Dolphins since 2011. His responsibilities have included sports medicine coverage during all preseason games, regular season home games, rookie camp, mini-camp, and OTA’s, and he coordinates logistics for sideline setup during events.

Rodriguez is a licensed and certified athletic trainer and has certifications that include Graston Technique M1, Functional Movement Screen Level 1, becoming an Active Release Technique Lower Body Certified Provider and as an ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer. Additionally, he is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with extensive knowledge in that area of expertise.

He also is a published researcher in multiple medical journals, and was recently a keynote speaker at The Chamber/Neurosport Elite Seminar Series, on the subject of concussions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from NSU and received his master’s in athletic administration from the institution as well.
