About: Fatima Lewis, PT, DPT is a graduate with distinction at the Arcadia University and University of the Philippines. She is a licensed physical therapist currently working in the home health setting at the Encompass Home Health Office in Beaumont Texas. She had 9 years of practice specializing on geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, academe/university setting, and entrepreneurship. She was also a consultant pediatric physical therapist in Able Therapy Center, Speech Ladder Therapy Center, Therabilities, and Kids Can Do Clinic for five years. For the academic setting, she was a Clinical Supervisor and a Special Lecturer in the University of the Philippines and had been a speaker for several seminars in different universities in Manila and Cebu. Her work in the academic universities also led her in establishing a review center business in the Philippines called Prime Movers Review Center which caters to PT and OT graduates who are preparing to take their national licensure examination. This review center also led her into creating a review book entitled “Link: A Guide to your Professional Practice” which is a comprehensive review material and quick reference on all the major textbooks used in physical and occupational therapy. In order to also cultivate the culture of continuing education in the Philippines, she had spearheaded the creation of Therapy Talks Seminar which is a seminar giving body for PTs, OTs, SPs, SPED teachers, and other health professionals working with patients with disabilities.
