How does Structure & Function Education’s dry needling method differ from others?
Structure & Function’s Dry Needling follows a Pentamodal Method, resulting in a comprehensive approach to Dry Needling. Our practice is holistic and patient centered. Therefore, we feel as though our dry needling interventions should also be holistic and patient centered. We believe Pain Generators can come from several structures in the body, and at times, there may be no identifiable pain generator at all. Having the understanding, knowledge and ability to alter our intervention based on the patient is vital to our dry needling practice. Our Pentamodal Method allows the clinician to decide which area needs to be addressed based on examination findings. To hear how clinicians like you have described their experience in our Foundations course, view our testimonials below.
My experience with dry needling has been nothing but positive. Sue has a gift of teaching in a manner in which a somewhat intimidating topic comes to life. She is one of those teachers who truly cares about her students and the subject matter in which she teaches. She is a joy to be around and makes you feel at ease the moment you meet her.
Director of Player Health and Performance| Portland Trail Blazers
Sue presented excellent material related to dry needling and cupping that was research-based. Her background gives you a perspective that allows you to immediately apply the techniques to your patient population.
Highly recommend this course to professionals in Sports Medicine. Sue is incredibly knowledgable, and presents dry needling in a safe way. I feel confident to apply the techniques I learned to my practice immediately.
About Our Dry Needling Courses
"What can a Dry Needling Course do for my practice?" Dry Needling is the insertion of fine filament needles in the body, specifically neuromuscular tissue. Research is still looking at how dry needling works in both acute and chronic situations. Traditional acupuncture is rooted in eastern philosophy while dry needling is rooted in western medicine. Simple muscle tightness, strains and sprains, an overworked body needing recovery, muscle activation, swelling reduction and pain modulation are all clinical examples for the use of dry needling. Our courses aim to empower practitioners – especially those who work with athletes – to provide the most efficient treatment to their patients.
