About: Miller has been a physical therapist since 2001, graduating from Ohio Univerity. She is currently pursuing her transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. Previous work experiences include 10 years of work with NCAA Division 1 athletes, in addition to several years in outpatient orthopedics and sports therapy. She has special training in instrumented soft tissue mobilization (Graston and HawkGrips) and blood flow restriction (Wichita State Badge) in addition to dry needling. Her treatment philosophy is focused on using modalities and patient education to allow patients to perform custom therapeutic exercise to restore as normal and high level of function as possible. She teaches the Sports Medicine elective for the University of Toledo’s DPT program and has served as a clinical instructor and preceptor for over 40 students. She has been involved in creation of content for the APTA’s moveforwardpt.com consumer site and has served on leadership teams for the APTA’s Academy of Sports Physical Therapy for the last decade.
