About: Vickie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1999. In 2014, she graduated from Simmons College with a doctorate in physical therapy. Vickie holds specialized certifications as a Certified Strength and Agility Coach, Dry Needling for Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Sport Performance, Functional Movement Techniques and a she is a certified Graston Technician.
Vickie embraces the concept of evidence-based rehabilitation. In treating physical therapy patients and counseling sports performance clients, she draws upon current research to incorporate scientifically validated methods into her daily practice.
Vickie co-authored a research article titled “Return to Play Following Sports Hernia Surgery” published in the journal “Clinics in Sports Medicine” in March 2016. Vickie is also a licensed private pilot and a certified SCUBA diver. Prior to pursuing a career in Physical Therapy, she served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy.
