Holistic Treatment Through Manipulation
Structure & Function Education offers two types of manipulation courses, our Foundations of Joint Manipulation (JMN1) and the Fascial Manipulation® by Stecco (FM) course program. Each manipulation course gives the practitioner a combination of theoretical lectures, demonstrations, and practice. Fascial Manipulation® by Stecco focuses on fascia and in particular the deep muscular fascia, considering the myofascial system as a three-dimensional continuum. Foundations of Manipulation is designed with a focus on joint manipulation, lessening pain and improving range of motion.
Foundations of Joint Manipulation (JMN1)
A focused approach to joint manipulation. With the primary intent in practice of lessening pain and improving range of motion for patients, various therapists and chiropractors may use this technique to help patients move and feel better after loss of functional mobility from an injury or illness. The clinician will learn fundamental skills necessary for safe and effective manipulation of a joint which involves applying force to the spinal or peripheral joints to improvement movement.
This two-day course is comprised of 80% practical and 20% didactic training. Designed to concentrate on the development of the psychomotor skills needed to deliver manipulation safely and effectively to the spine and extremities. Learn More.
Hybrid Fascial Manipulation® Level 1 by Stecco (FM1)
The Fascial Manipulation® system by Stecco takes a unique approach, looking at the body as a whole, not just “where it hurts” or where the problems appear to be. Utilizing a systematic approach to assessment and treatment of the tissue, the course covers deep tissue manipulation and focus areas of deep fascia. Students learn manual palpation of very specific regions of the body in order to determine the location of fascial alterations which may be involved with your patient’s problem. Learn More.
Hybrid Fascial Hybrid Fascial Manipulation® Level 2 by Stecco (FM2)
Expanding on the understanding of the biomechanical model to treat patients, Fascial Manipulation® system by Stecco Level 2 course focuses on multi-segmental dysfunctions more efficiently and the formation of Myofascial Diagonals. Elements of comparative anatomy studies will be introduced to assist the evaluation of adaptive compensations within the fascial system to encourage fascial plasticity.
Numerous treatment demonstrations for myofascial release and practice will highlight this course as a comparative assessment of Centers of Coordination and Centers of Fusion. Assessment chart analysis, clinical reasoning, hands-on skills, and treatment strategies will be emphasized. Learn More.
