Someone had asked a question in the last class about vericose veins. I spoke with Dr. Ma about it. He said to put several 13 mm (1/2 inch) needles directly into the vein, along its course, to destroy it. Through the process of angiogenesis, the body will break down the old vein and create a new one.
I thought this was interesting as my aunt just had to have surgery on a vericose vein, and that is exactly what they did…they didn’t recreate a vein, they simply destroyed the old one (I believe they cauterized it) so a new, working one would grow.
Let me know if anyone has success with this!
